The universe is made up of five fundamental elements (fire, water, wood, metal, earth). These abstract energies or intangible forces each has its own atttributes and characteristics. These elements, which are inherent in all energy force, follows Nature's law. They can be productive or destructive depending on how they interact with one another.
For example, you may want to avoid placing any earth related objects in the North of your office as this area is ruled by water - Earth will muddy your chances for career or business success.
Creative Cycle
All the elements react in either a creative or destructive cycle and using the correct combination can cancel bad effects or boost up the good aura in an area. The creative cycle is as: Burning wood feeds fire; fire produce earth from its ash; earth produces ore (metal); which creates water from condensation on its (metal) surface; water in turns nourishes plants and trees, creating wood.
Destructive Cycle
In destructive cycle: water puts out fire, fire melts metal, metal cuts wood, wood takes nourishment out of earth, earth muddies water.
